1) Thoughts on the photo credit on the bottom: Is the font too small/big? I don't want it to be obtrusive, but neither do I want it to get lost.
2) Is the grey (gray) font colour on the author's name too pale ?
3) I've added a little something extra on the right side of the cover. This might seem a bit weird - it's an icon I will put on all materials I distribute for this course (PPTs, Handouts, etc.), usually as a footer. I'm not sure if it works on the cover, but I thought I'd ask others' opinions.
Other thoughts welcome!
I'm going to stop thinking about my own stuff and look at other peoples' now!
I'd actually put the photo credit on the copyright page, and not the cover. And yes, you could darken the gray of the author name a bit.
ReplyDeleteDorothy E. Zemach Thanks ~ now there's the question of the light brown stripe across the bottom. Should I crop the picture to eliminate it? (For some reason I like it.)
ReplyDeleteWhy not try keeping the stripe, except (if you can) make it one even size--and then put the course guide stuff down there?
ReplyDeleteDorothy E. Zemach I like the idea - but the stripe is part of the original image. I've got a cropped version, which looks ok. I'm going to leave them for a while and come back and look at them both side by side later today.
ReplyDeleteAh, I see. But you could still add a stripe of that color over that area, right? Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteDorothy E. Zemach True enough - I'll give it a shot (later). Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAnd about the lovely "something extra" - it's beautiful, but i somewhat feel you might end up having too many various elements there. You already have the logo, then this. If you could turn it bright and put it IN the image? Just a thought? Top right -hand corner?
