Well - working on color/mood combinations - blue is generally considered a 'down' mood - think Blue Monday, I've got the blues etc. Calming and soothing colors are towards the green end of the spectrum, while the energizing colors are the oranges and reds. I agree you don't want red - too jarring! But a 'warm' green will be great.
Patrice Palmer, OCELT, MEd MA I like the clean look of your original brain image with a white background. However if you are looking to have color I think I prefer the light green one. The brain image is perfect, so I would not change that for another image.
Hi everybody, Glad to meet you all here in this amazing iTDi learning journey. I'm Aziz Soubai from Morocco. I'm an EFL teacher with 8 years of classroom practice. I have a huge interest in online learing , language games and educational technolgy. I learnt a lot from iTDi professional development courses and I feel that I still need to learn more. Publishing my own ELT materials will be a huge accomplishment form me. And I think Dorothy is the perfect person to show us the the inns and outs of self-publishing. Regards
Here are the first few pages with my new topic (I changed it a few days ago) to better reflect my interest in teacher well-being. I learned today that well-being is spelled with a hyphen in Canadian English. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwo_ITamV68qbWdacEUzT0w5bUk/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwo_ITamV68qbWdacEUzT0w5bUk/view?usp=sharing
Hi there, I'm trying to format my book according to Smashwords Style Guide. It is a little long and takes some time , but I think it is useful. What do you think? I mean is there some kind of short cut? A simple way to learn from it. Do we have to follow and apply everyting ? https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52 https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52
I'm not so sure about the background color - a bit dull? Maybe a green or orange would be better?
ReplyDeleteI was trying to go with a calming look/feel.

ReplyDeleteYes! Top one, I think.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteFor me the second green cover is more soothing. I love the brain image, btw!
ReplyDeleteTks. The image is from Pixabay.
ReplyDeleteI love the second green cover. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks. 2 for the bottom green, one for the top. I think I like the second one too.
ReplyDeleteThe first one looks a bit garish, but that's subjective, because I dislike that colour anyway! The second seems calmer. Maybe check with more people?
ReplyDeleteBottom green for me, but then green is my favourite colour
