They're both nice. The one on the right as a thumbnail though looks a bit like barbed wire--which is not a great image. So I'd prefer the one on the left. Can you make the title font larger? I like your title, too.
I'd go larger still on the font--as large as you can and still fit on the cover. Even your name could be a little larger. To get the title larger, you could arrange it like (centered, of course) Grammar Games for Better Language Instruction If it doesn't look good like that, then the two lines is fine though. Remember that your customers will be seeing it as a thumbnail, though. You want that title to be visible!
I was about to say the same with Dorothy - I like the colors and the stripes of the one on the right for sure, but the stars remind me of barbed wire and have rather negative connotations.
Hi everybody, Glad to meet you all here in this amazing iTDi learning journey. I'm Aziz Soubai from Morocco. I'm an EFL teacher with 8 years of classroom practice. I have a huge interest in online learing , language games and educational technolgy. I learnt a lot from iTDi professional development courses and I feel that I still need to learn more. Publishing my own ELT materials will be a huge accomplishment form me. And I think Dorothy is the perfect person to show us the the inns and outs of self-publishing. Regards
Here are the first few pages with my new topic (I changed it a few days ago) to better reflect my interest in teacher well-being. I learned today that well-being is spelled with a hyphen in Canadian English. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwo_ITamV68qbWdacEUzT0w5bUk/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwo_ITamV68qbWdacEUzT0w5bUk/view?usp=sharing
Hi there, I'm trying to format my book according to Smashwords Style Guide. It is a little long and takes some time , but I think it is useful. What do you think? I mean is there some kind of short cut? A simple way to learn from it. Do we have to follow and apply everyting ? https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52 https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/52

ReplyDeleteDorothy the title is actually your suggestion. It is short and to the point
ReplyDeleteYes Catherine the one on the left has a party mode I guess

ReplyDeleteDefinitely the first one (on the left).
ReplyDeleteWow I didn't see that barbed wire. It really makes the picture looks like a prison .
ReplyDeleteThe left (the one on the right looks a bit 1970s to me). It's looking great!
ReplyDeleteThe left one. Looks very cool. :)
ReplyDeleteLeft one is really attractive to the reader!
