I am so pleased to join ITDI again and work with Dorothy for the first time.
My name is Ouarda, I am from Algeria, I have been teaching English at University for 12 years where I taught different subjects.
My phd is on teacher quality; so I am interested in everything related to the teacher especially teaching strategies, classroom management, learning strategies and technology.
I attended many courses within ITDI and I learned a lot, every time I join a course I get acquainted with a new perspective and vision. The ITDI group is the best teacher development group I have ever worked with.
I wish we work together to get something out of this course

Great to have you here! Are you thinking of publishing some portion of your Ph.D. work?
ReplyDeleteI'm really glad to be among you. Yes i have many case studies ready about classroom research such as motivating students, desingning rubrics, metacognitive strategies, webskills, not only my Phd.
ReplyDeleteGreat start! Since those are all so different, I think you'll want to pick one specific area to work on for this course, to keep it narrowed down and focused. But if you have material already written, that is great--then you can just work at shaping it into a coherent whole.

Im thinking to work on teacher quality as i woked much on it to demystify the concept of teacher quality, explore whether Elt teachers are aware of it or not, what are quality indicators needed..further i designed two software to evaluate teachers' quality, a self evaluation software and others' evaluation software including every sttategy that might be used by the teacher in every stage of the learning/teaching process: personal attributes, organization and management, implementing instruction and finally monitoring students success and potential. The rubric gives values or scores to each quality, subquality and quality indicator where the teacher can figure out areas of stength and weakness.. a long story to tell
ReplyDeleteAh... I don't have any experience with software, so I can't offer any help there. But if you have text materials that would go along with it, we could certainly work on that. Like a companion workbook, perhaps?
