By far my favorite. I like the rhythm of this one. The sentences have a beat. Also, I can see a message here (intended?) that even if we are different, it doesn't mean we are worse. It's like with kids laughing at others because they are different and then it turns out that they have an exceptional skill which other kids become jealous of :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Maragarita - the beat is intended as it is the Dancing book! And yes, the message is something that was dear to my heart and that of my daughter - coming from a country where discrimination was legalized under the system of apartheid, our sense of justice is highly developed.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. I like the message and the elephant is just the right character for it (and for dancing too :) )
ReplyDeleteElephants are my favourite animal so I love the story for that reason. But more importantly, there is a beautiful message. It is truly lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you. So maybe I can develop more drawings for this one and turn it into a paperback.
ReplyDeleteLeonie Overbeek I think it would be a good idea to consider. What does Dorothy think about it?
